Are you looking for the best luxury resort, just 3 hours from Miami? Welcome to Baoase Luxury Resort in Curacao! When I first landed in Curacao, I was excited for sunshine, turquoise water, and a bit of relaxation. Baoase Luxury Resort in Curacao exceeded every expectation—and I do not say that lightly.

I loved that this stunning resort was just a quick 3 hour flight from Miami, and it is out of the hurricane belt, so you can rest easy when staying here.

If you are planning a trip to Curacao and are researching where to stay in Curacao, I hope this guide helps paint the full picture of why this resort is so special!

The Arrival: Immediate Calm and Warmth

From the moment I stepped onto the property, I felt a shift. You are not met with a traditional check-in desk under fluorescent lights. Instead, a warm staff member welcomes you with a cool towel and refreshing drink, and you are taken on a private guided tour of the resort and then directly to your suite. Everything feels effortless and personal. The staff seems to know exactly what you need before you even ask, and that is a rare gift in hospitality.

As someone who travels often, I have stayed at many luxury resorts in the Caribbean, but Baoase truly stands out. The experience is not flashy. It is thoughtful. Quiet. Intentional. You do not just check into a room—you are welcomed into a sanctuary.

This resort also only has 23 rooms so it feels incredibly exclusive and very private. It NEVER once felt busy!

Accommodations: Tranquility Meets Tropical Luxury

Baoase is designed to feel like your own private Balinese escape, right on the shores of the Caribbean. The resort is small, intimate, and lush. Every pathway winds through tropical gardens, shaded by palm trees and lined with beautiful features!

I stayed in the Superior Beachfront Pool Suite, which opened directly onto the private lagoon, with my own private beach and private pool! Waking up to the sound of the waves and stepping straight out onto the soft sand felt unreal. The decor is a seamless blend of Balinese and Caribbean aesthetics—rich woods, open-air bathrooms, soft linens, and luxurious outdoor showers.

This room had 1100 square feet of indoor space and came complete with an outdoor shower and the most beautiful outdoor tub I have ever seen!

The bathroom was stunning with luxury bath amenities and the most beautiful carved stone sinks.

Of course, the best part of the Superior Beachfront Pool Suite was the outdoor space! It was beyond stunning. You have your own private pool that overlooks the sunset and your own private beach.

There are also multiple decks and outdoor areas where you can relax and enjoy your outdoor space.

The Balinese elements really pull this architecture together.

If you are searching for romantic places to stay in Curacao, especially for a Curacao honeymoon, Baoase is perfect. It is peaceful, luxurious, and incredibly private. You will never feel crowded. Even when the resort is full, you feel like you have it all to yourself.

The Beach: Pure Serenity

One of the things I appreciated most was the private beach! The ocean water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for a relaxing swim without the worry of strong waves or currents. The beach itself is framed by natural rock barriers and feels like a hidden cove.

The loungers are plush, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and the entire experience feels curated for calm. I found myself spending hours here, reading, floating, and simply existing.

If your dream vacation includes secluded beaches in Curacao, you will love this private lagoon.

Baoase also features a beautiful pool that looks like a tropical paradise. It is overlooking the beach so you can easily move between the two and get the best of both worlds!

Not One But TWO Private Islands

Boasae Luxury Resort is home to two private islands that you can enjoy during your stay. Each one is a bit different but they are both stunning!

This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink after you are done snorkeling in the crystal clear waters.

If you are not staying at Baoase but still want to visit, you are able to book a day pass to experience one of the private islands. One of the day passes includes lunch, which I highly recommend!

Dining at Baoase: A Culinary Experience

The dining at Baoase is something to rave about and they have won many awards! Their fine dining restaurant offers a mix of international flavors with Caribbean flair. There are daily changing menus and tasting options, as well as in-room and beachside dining for a more private experience.

The staff remembered my preferences, right down to how I liked my vegetables cooked. Everything is freshly prepared, and the ingredients are incredibly high quality. If you are a foodie, prepare to be spoiled.

For those who enjoy wine, Baoase has a sommelier on staff and a thoughtfully curated wine selection. Every meal feels like a special occasion, and you can choose to dine right by the water, under the stars, or even have a romantic private setup created just for you.

Baoase has two restaurants, one features toes in the sand dining and the other, known as the Sunset Deck, offers beautiful water views.

Baoase often has themed nights and I was able to try almost all of them. Themes include things like BBQ, Asian cuisine, Italian night, Indian cuisine and more!

The food was beyond incredible here and I can highly recommend a meal. I also want to note that if you are staying at Baoase, breakfast is included with your stay!

If you are not staying at the resort and you still want to visit for lunch or dinner, you also have that option to still explore the culinary experiences here.

It is no surprise that Baoase often ranks among the best luxury resorts in Curacao.

A Lifesaver for Those with Food Allergies

Now, for what might be the most important part of this post for some of you: Baoase is, hands down, the most accommodating resort I have ever experienced when it comes to food allergies and dietary concerns.

I am extremely sensitive to many ingredients. Traveling can be difficult when staying at hotels. But Baoase? They took everything in stride—and then went far beyond.

From the moment I booked, they were in communication with me to understand my dietary needs. Upon arrival, the chef came to speak with me directly. He remembered every detail of my restrictions and created custom meals that were not only safe but beautiful and delicious.

During Asian cuisine night, I asked the chef if they had spring rolls on the menu. He said no, but that they could make them for me, and asked what I wanted them filled with! Nobody has ever asked me what I wanted my spring rolls filled with before. I was beyond impressed.

Each meal felt like a five-star dining experience that I could actually enjoy without worry. There was zero pressure. There was only kindness, understanding, and the most careful attention to detail I have ever experienced in a hospitality setting.

If you are looking for a food allergy-friendly resort in Curacao, this is the one.

Service That Redefines Luxury

I have to take a moment to emphasize just how exceptional the service is at Baoase. I have traveled to dozens of high-end resorts across the world, and I have never encountered a team like this one.

They are not just friendly. They are intuitive. It feels like they are genuinely invested in your comfort and well-being.

If I needed anything—from fresh towels to help planning a day trip—someone was always available and ready to help with a smile. They even remembered the little things, like my favorite seat by the lagoon or the fact that I liked extra pillows at night.

It is the kind of place where you feel like you are among friends, even though you are in a luxury setting. And that is a rare combination.

Location and Accessibility

Baoase is located about 20 minutes from Curacao International Airport, and just a short 5–10 minute drive from downtown Willemstad. This makes it incredibly convenient if you want to explore local attractions like the Queen Emma Bridge, Punda, or the colorful buildings along Handelskade.

We had our own rental car which made exploring Curacao super easy and seamless. This location was great and easy to get around for us to see all of the beautiful places on the island.

You can enjoy the best of both worlds: exploring Curacao’s top attractions, then returning to the serenity of Baoase in the evening.

Tips for Planning Your Stay at Baoase Luxury Resort

If you are planning your own trip to Baoase, here are a few helpful tips:

  • Book early. Baoase is a small, exclusive resort and can fill up quickly—especially beachfront villas and suites.
  • Let them know about dietary needs in advance. They are incredibly accommodating but appreciate advance notice.
  • Splurge on the Superior Beachfront Pool Suite. You will not regret waking up with your feet in the sand and ocean right outside your door.
  • Try the chef’s tasting menu. It is a highlight of the stay.
  • Plan to slow down. This is not a party resort. It is a peaceful retreat built for deep rest and rejuvenation.

Final Thoughts: Is Baoase Luxury Resort Worth It?

Yes. A thousand times, yes.

Baoase Luxury Resort in Curacao is not just a five-star hotel. It is an experience. If you are looking for a luxury Caribbean resort that is quiet, personalized, incredibly beautiful, and above all—compassionate and mindful of your needs—this is the place.

For me, it was healing in every way. I was able to fully relax, enjoy world-class food that was safe for me, and feel seen and cared for in a way that no other resort has ever come close to offering.

If you are planning a Curacao honeymoon, anniversary trip, solo wellness retreat, or simply want to treat yourself, I cannot recommend Baoase highly enough.

You will leave refreshed. You will feel restored. And like me—you will probably be planning your return before you even leave.
